Click here to read the transcript of the April 9th NewsHour on PBS report on a variety of issues involved in the administration’s expressed support for the implementation of electronic or digital health care records.

The report is made up of a conversation between reporter Ray Saurez, a Veteran’s care advocate, and two physicians. It covers a number of concerns about the current system and concerns about what might occur with the creation of a system that would create a single health record for a patient that contains his or her entire record as posted by all providers who have provided care.

One of the physicians is Dr. Deborah Peel. She is involved in a group concerned with Patient Privacy Rights
